About Terry DeSelms
Terry and his wife of 40 years, Jeannie, have lived in Nashville for a total of 32 years where they raised their daughters, Jacqueline and Tara.
Jacqueline is married to Derek Wolfe and they have two children, Carl and Mary Jean. Jacqueline is the owner of One Tree Tutorial and Enrichment, an alternative school for supporting home school parents.
Tara has three children, Sydney, Isabelle and Kaleb. Tara is now the second generation owner of The DeSelms Team, continuing her dad’s legacy.
Terry’s hobbies include designing and creating stained glass, mountain bike riding, skiing, hiking, hot rods, reading, his family and friends, and, of course, being Pee Paw (grandpa) to five wonderful grandchildren.
Terry obtained his real estate license in 1989 and has since created a unique set of tools and techniques that quickly helped propel him to the top in his field.
In 1993 Terry hired his first administrative assistant, which was almost unheard of in the real estate industry at that time. That year Terry’s sales doubled. In 1994 he hired a second assistant and his sales doubled again, selling over 100 homes. Only one other agent in the area sold 100 homes in 1994.
The rest, as they say, is history. The Team has grown to eight administrative assistants with five team agents to serve his clients. Terry and his Team have been #1 in Middle TN for over 15 years.
Terry’s “The DeSelms Team” has consistently been ranked in the top 20 Nationwide by “The Wall Street Journal.” DeSelms Real Estate is the first “Billion Dollar” team in the state of Tennessee. The DeSelms Team averages selling a home every 14 hours, 15 minutes and 12 seconds while the average agent sells a home every 37 days.
Terry was the featured agent on the cover of “Broker Magazine,” and he was also interviewed by one of the leading national sales trainers as the featured interview of the month. Terry was one of the Lore Magazine’s top 200 agents (
